After Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust escaped from the Vault of Secrets, Joy planned to follow the Stream of Consciousness to the Back of the Mind and retrieve the Sense Of Self. They rode on a piece of broccoli down the stream. Suddenly, the ground rumbled, and Ennui created a Sar-chasm. The stream split in half, and they couldn't follow it anymore.

The Stream of Consciousness is a stream of flowing water like a river inside the mind of Riley Andersen. Any object that Riley is thinking of appears in the stream.
