Plot[]
Dad answers the door to find Jordan, who asks if Riley is there.
Dad's Emotions call a Red Alert, because there's a boy.
Dad and Mom talk about Jordan as he sits at the table to wait for Riley. Mom knew Riley was going skating, but she thought it was going to be with friends. Dad wonders why there's a boy in their house. Mom wonders if it's a date or not. She decides to ask Riley.
As Mom goes upstairs, her emotions express their dislike of the possibility of Riley going on a date. Fear says she's only twelve. Sadness wants them to probe using slang.
Mom awkwardly asks Riley what the deal is with Jordan.
Riley's Joy is embarrassed at Mom's attempt at using slang. Sadness doesn't understand what's happening. Disgust is embarrassed for her.
Dad and Jordan sit across the table from each other in silence.
Dad's Anger says he knows what Jordan is doing. Dad's Fear doesn't think Jordan is good enough for Riley. Dad's Sadness tells him to go back to jail. The emotions keep ranting about Jordan, but decide not to say anything to Jordan because he'll be expecting that. They decide on the silent treatment.
Jordan's emotions are having a party in his head.
Dad's emotions are upset that Jordan isn't reacting to his silence. They decide to try to intimidate him instead.
Dad sits up taller.
Jordan notices Dad looking at him.
Jordan's Fear wonders what Dad is looking at. Jordan's Joy says it's probably Fear's dumb hat.
When they see Jordan chuckle, Dad's emotions decide to up the ante.
Dad asks Jordan what he likes to do for fun. Jordan say stuff, which makes Dad angrier. His emotions strap in and prepare to give him the boot. But before they can do anything, Jordan says he plays in a band. The emotions back off, because Dad was in a band, too. They recall the memory of him playing lead guitar. Dad tells Jordan about his time in a band. Jordan plays bass. They realize they both like AC/DC.
Riley tells Mom it's not a date. They're going with a group of friends. Riley's Fear then wonders where Jordan is and Riley asks if Mom left Jordan alone with Dad. She goes to check on him as Mom says Dad would never do anything.
Riley goes downstairs, where Dad and Jordan are playing air guitar together.
Riley and Jordan leave together. Dad says Jordan's a good kid. Mom say Dad's not so bad himself. Dad's emotions acknowledge Mom's affection and help him respond. Dad gives Mom a look. Mom's emotions say he's making that stupid face again. They debate what to do, but Mom's Joy says he's adorable and has Mom smile back. She leans in to kiss him.
Dad's emotions celebrate the kiss, playing in a band.
Mom's emotions, on the other hand, find it dreamy. Then they decide that's enough and break the kiss. Dad says he's going to go fix the table.
