Lance is a character in a game Riley played. His power move is curling into a ball and rolling, which isn't effective against opponents. He ended up in The Vault due to Riley having a secret crush on him. There, he met Joy, Disgust, Sadness, Anger, and Fear when they were suppressed by Anxiety. He welcomed them to their eternal fate Bloofy offered to help the emotions in exchange for their help getting out of the Vault, but Lance said it wasn't their place to interfere with the emotions' fate. Despite this, he tried to free them with his power move, but was ineffective. The Deep Dark Secret ended up getting him out. Once they were out of the Vault, Lance decided to use his power move to help them escape the Mind Cops. He ended up running into a mop bucket, starting a chain reaction that locked the mind cops in the vault. Then he rolled away.
